Improve the quality of your quote images with Chisel

Internet and social media users adore pictures and visual posts as much as they like inspirational quotes. Who doesn’t take time to read a text combined with a beautiful background? Quote images have become an art and there are plenty of apps and tools to help you edit and improve the quality of these quote posts.

One of these apps is Chisel.

What’s Chisel exactly?

Chisel is a place to express your creative side with others around certain themes or topics. It’s function is simple, this app will allow you to turn quotes into shareable images. You can either choose a photo from Chisel's database, or use a picture of your own, add your quote, customize it  and save it. It will simply beautify your posts.

How it works?

Once you are on http://www.usechisel.com/ connect with either your Facebook/ Twitter account, or try the old-fashioned way.

Chisel will then show you some spaces (categories), which you can choose to follow, if you’re interested in them. Then you will be able to create your own spaces and name them, so you can publish your creations. Chisel will urge you to create your first post, giving at the same time some examples of how you can use its features.

We tried it

We took the chance and decided to start creating. We found out that we could upload our own image, not from the ones available on this app, by searching not only our pc but also Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and Dropbox, how convenient! We decided to use one that we liked, from downtown (whatever)and uploaded it.

Once the photo was up we clicked the option edit text. Chisel gave us some fonts to choose from and let us play with the size of the text, add some more or even change the tint.

We were then asked in which space (category) we wanted to save this picture and if we wanted to share it on Twitter or Facebook. After our photo was shared, people could comment, like or share it on other social media platforms, like Pinterest etc.

Through the button on the top right corner we could customize our profile, choose our settings and link our other social accounts to this one.

The spaces we created could also be customized concerning their title, description, category, private or public type and who could add content to them.

Our thoughts

Chisel is a really helpful and simple app to use, if you’re into quote posts and look for a quality app. It’s free, which is good news, if you’re using it for professional purposes and you’re on a budget. It will generally help you turn an ordinary text post, into something much more original and expressive.

If you feel like it, try it, and give us your feedback.

Enable AMD's Radeon Chill feature for all games.

Since 2014 AMD has been following the tradition of releasing new performance and usability features in their December driver, and 2016 was no exception. Among the myriad of new features and enhancements, was also one that passed almost unnoticed, called Radeon Chill.

Stemming from AMD's acquisition of HiAlgo earlier in 2016, it offers the possibility of huge power and thermal savings while gaming, by monitoring screen movement and adjusting the frame rate accordingly. There is even the claim that it could also reduce response times since the GPU is not occupied with rendering as often.

Its only issue: it's not global, and it's based on a white list of applications to function. But fear not, for we are here. Using a trick as old as operating systems themselves, you can try to make it work with every title. Let's see how to do that.
Step One: Activate Radeon Chill. Doing that is fairly easy. Right click on your desktop and select "Radeon Settings":

Your first post in your Facebook Page, some simple tips

Many new pages are created on Facebook every day by brands that need to use the network for wither exposure or marketing or both. There are many small businesses that want to use Facebook and need to know about some initial tips to get started with their facebook page.

Facebook page management is no rocket science, but it can lead your brand to either a successful presence or nothing at all, if you don't pay attention to some details. You have to start with the basics. Your every-day process with your page is your posts, information you share on your page and your fans will see. First take a note that not all of your fans will see your post. Let's say you have 1000 fans, only about 10-15% of your fans are expected to actually see that post. What's important here is to make your post appealing so whoever sees it, will be able to engage with it, thus either comment, share or like it.

Take a look at our video for those tips :
